The only problem I had with mine is that they spread out on the pan like crazy as if I didn’t put enough flour or oats in the batter (which was not the case). I do wonder though if I should have chilled the dough first before baking to see if that would’ve made a difference? Any suggestions for next Christmas Cookie season when I make these again? I do live at altitude so maybe adding a bit more flour could help?

I got a little confused with the recipe and put both trays of cookies in the oven at the same time and needed to go for another few minutes to finish baking. Some looked like they were going to be overbaked but they were super soft still.

I feel like adding raisins would be a smart move too, especially if not baking for the holidays.

WOW! I couldn’t believe the compliments – thank you for a great recipe! The ONLY problem I had was the spreading of the cookie during the baking process. I live at altitude (above 4900 ft) and should have either 1) added a tablespoon or two of added flour OR 2) chilled the dough before baking OR 3) use softened/room temp butter instead of melted. What do you suggest for my next try?

The cookies were easy to make and the smell of them in the oven was heavenly. The cookies are soft and moist and I may just make only these cookies for my Christmas baking next year. Thank you for sharing this recipe!

Was a little worried the glaze was too salty but it paired quite well.
