For the crust

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into cubes

For the cranberry curd

  • 16 ounces cranberries, thawed and rinsed
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh orange zest
  • 2/3 cup orange juice
  • 2 large eggs + 2 large egg yolks (reserve the egg whites for later!)
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into cubes
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the meringue

  • 5 large egg whites
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
