Made the single serve of these from the cookbook and they were underbaked. But then the outside edges were rock hard, so if I were to keep baking them, it’d all be inedible. The sad thing is that this is not the first time this has happened. I love broma bakery, and I want this to work, but every recipe I’ve tried literally doesn’t ever work out because of temperature and time I’m assuming and I literally follow every step—I PROMISE.

Hi Caroline! We always bake in light colored metal pans but if all you have on hand is glass you can use that–the bake time will just be different! I’d recommend bringing the temperature of the oven down to 325°F so the edges don’t get burnt and checking in on the blondies at the 20 minute mark, but they might take more time!

It is much faster and simpler to make than normal cookies because you don’t need to soften any butter or roll out dough and cook in batches. I like to double the recipe and bake them in a 9×13. They are super rich and sweet (because there isn’t much flour in the dough) which can sometimes be a bit too much for me but other people love it. This is a crowd-pleaser for sure. I make them at least once a month and my friends all love them!

Batter looked so wet and hard to spread and so many chocolate pieces. WOW I was wrong, they turn out amazing and they’re delicious and so much easier than cookies. 10/10 no notes, maybe a dash of sea salt on top. Good quality dark chocolate pieces. Make a double batch because these go quick.

So awesome! A butterscotch caramel sensation filled with pockets of chewy caramel! Perfect.
