Even so, these were delicious! They didn’t come out pretty (because of the issue above) but everyone loved them! I can’t wait to make them again (correctly) and enjoy an even thicker lemon layer.

Buttery shortbread crust with a nice 1:1 ratio with the lemon filling. The lemon bars had a great zing without being too sweet and they solidified really nicely even before fridging them. Simple ingredients and so easy to whip up. This is a keeper!!!

The crust is perfect and the recipe is easily repeatable (I also make lime bars and checker them to look like the Green & Gold of my Packers! I have also used oranges and blood oranges and they always turn out perfectly.
